Consultation terms

The service

£100 total buys one 60-minute remote consultation with Richard De Vere about your smart home and potential future work, plus a short written summary of the next steps. It is not a full technical design, security audit, installation or support contract. Equipment, on-site visits and future project work are agreed and priced separately. No subscription or automatic renewal.

Arranging your session

After payment, email contact@devereworks.com with your payment reference and preferred times. We will agree a suitable appointment and confirm the service and these terms by email before the consultation. We normally schedule after the 14-day cancellation period. If you would like to start sooner, we will separately record your express request and explain the effect on cancellation rights before starting. If we cannot agree a suitable appointment, we will refund you in full.

Cancellation and changes

You may cancel within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason. Email contact@devereworks.com or write to our registered address below. You may use the form below, but do not have to. We will refund within 14 days of receiving your cancellation, using the original payment method. You may also cancel an unstarted consultation after this period for a full refund. Please contact us if you need to reschedule.

If you expressly request an early start, any deduction on cancellation is limited to the proportion of service already supplied. The cancellation right ends only after full performance where you have expressly requested early performance and acknowledged that consequence. We agree this separately; buying here does not waive your rights. If we cancel, we will offer a new date or a full refund.

Advice and future work

We use reasonable care and skill. Advice is based on the information available during your consultation. No technology can guarantee complete security or continuous availability. Electrical work and specialist installation must be undertaken by appropriately qualified professionals. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights, liability for fraud, or liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
